Red Eye is a new short story series created especially by me for you, the reader. Red Eye is about a young police officer who is recruited to be a double agent for the ploice to infiltrate mafia syndicate groups. A new chapter shall hopefully be coming every week but for now chapter 1 is all that you can read!
Chapter 1: Significance
All was silent, peaceful and calm until..... BOOM! A cloud of bright, pristine dust came flying into view of the two young policemen that made up battalion 385-JO6. A cry was sounded as the rest of the squads came into sight. They willingly charged into the seemingly abandoned warehouse that was known to be connected to a recent city wide drug epedemic. For John Olsen, it was a terrifying expierience to be charging into a sea of night coloured men that were the enemy. His vision was blurred as he felt a sharp pain right in the side of his head. He turned to see a masked man carrying a knife. John reached for his gun as the hostility threw his knife right at him. He prepared for death but it never came. He opened his eyes to see his partner, Cpl Pete Olsen, standing beside the perilled body of the person about to end his life early. He went to hug his brother, but time stopped as he saw a bullet soaring with precision right to the side of his head. He tried to jump in front of it, but he was too late. He saw a flash of red on his face. But that was the last thing he saw as a black mist came floating by that made him coughe and wheeze. He eventually passed out.
When John woke up, he was on an unstable piece of rough wood. Like a blur two men came into sight. As his vision recalibrated, he saw a badge on one of the men's shirt saying 'F.B.I'. One of the men came closer and splashed a pale water-like liquid on his arm. He suddenly realised it was oil. His eyes widened with shock. One of the men then sternly said,
''Here are the rules. We ask and you answer, got it!''.
''Where my brother?'' exclaimed John.
''He's Dead!'' shouted the second man.
John felt cold as he blacked out once again.
